Hera
Hera is a model for translating data from any external database, regardless of format or subject, without requiring complete schema conversion.
Hera is a minimal, generic data model, deliberately simple and tightly focused. However, it is not intended to replace the databases with which it interacts. Its aim is to enable the reuse and enrichment of data at the lowest possible cost.
Hecate
Hecate is a simple and flexible web application to view and edit any data in a browser, regardless of:
data format or theme: Hecate uses the Hera modelisation, and can thus understand your data, whatever they are ;
where data are hosted: thanks to Heimdall, Hecate can import data from any source, modify then, and then export them back to their orignal source or to any other destination ;
your device: if you are on a digging site, in an archive basement, whith or without Internet connection, Hecate can be just nearby ;
technical infrastructure: Hecate can be deployed on your server, as a static website, while keeping her main features.
Heimdall
Heimdall is a tool for easily converting one or more databases from one format to another.
Heimdall takes advantage of the modeling offered by Hera to make easier interoperability, for example between:
SQL databases (MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, …) or NoSQL databases (eg MongoDB, …),
Systems enabling import/export of their data in CSV format (eg. tableurs, Omeka, …), XML (eg. corpus TEI, …), JSON, or YAML.
Helios
Helios is a minimal web server that lets you give temporary access to your local files to other software. In particular, to software running in your browser, like Hecate.
Because of its minimal security, Helios should only be used to communicate with trusted software, and in a controlled network environment, or offline.
“friends” projects
The following projects use the software mentioned above. Some have even been a driving force in the design and development of the corresponding software.
It is these scientific partnerships that are the raison d’être, not only of all these software, but also of the vision that drives them.
